This is the website for the Nordic section of SnowSport England (SSE). SSE is the governing body for all English snow sports including alpine racing, freestyle, snowboarding and of course Nordic.

The function of the site is to provide information to both prospective and existing Nordic skiers, give details of the committee work and to provide a source of data for coaches.

The committee maintaining this site and carrying out lots of other work is called the Nordic Key Committee (NKC) and is staffed by volunteers.

Nordic by itself covers a range of disciplines such as Telemark, Touring and Track Skiing. You can find out more by clicking on 'Techniques' in the contents list on the left. Please click on the remaining items to explore the site further. Here you will find articles on courses, tours, races, clubs, equipment, etc.

The articles have been prepared at different times by different people. As a result there is sometimes a degree of overlap and sometimes a difference of opinion. This is an accurate reflection of reality. You will need to make up your own mind as to which is "correct", if such a thing exists.

The content of the articles are personal positions and not necessarily the position or recommendation of SSE.
